You buy the game, then, you download all the missing maps to your Core hard disk.... Ooooops, no hard disk.

"Please be aware that when the roster update is pushed it may disconnect those who are playing online games at the time."

Well, I guess it's ok to be disconnected for a while this year. Next year, they will likely disconnect the server totally like they did for most of their online 2006 edition sports games.

So enjoy while the servers are online....

Yet, he then goes to say "you're going to be putting your hard drive to good use" because if you cannot fit the stuff on the DVD, then you'll have to download it.

There's two reasons why the PS3 is more expensive, Bluray and hard disk in ALL consoles. So to save the day, Mark is telling us that if it doesn't fit on a DVD, use your hard disk... On the 360 Core???

Somehow, he went from one hole into another one...

Make a box with the PS3 game, and the map editor only (pc version). Those things would fly of the shelf...

Sure enough, as a teacher, they would not do good!!!!

For the 360: B+ B- A A C D- A- Average B+ (That's probably about right)

For the PS3: C+ C- B- A C+ A+ A Average C So they give one C- with 3 A, one b and two C+, yet average comes out C!!!!!! That must have been a really, really heavy C- to bring the average soooooo low!

You see that, you don't even have to go any further. The teacher get a F!!!!

Step 1: Cut a piece of black tape about 1 inch long
Step 2: Stick the tape over the blinking clock

Voila: No more blinking clock ever!

You could also fix car problems like that... Overheating engine light is constantly on? Just remove the bulb or stick a tape over it.

Seriously, if you have a problem with ANY $400 appliance, electronic device, etc, you simply try almost everything before you ship it back!

Let me see, my PV...

EA shutdown most of their server for online gaming for their 2006 line up. We are in 2007!!!! They did this because they want to sell newer version of their games, but so what if I still want to play an old version of Burnout or any old sport games online???
Even worst, Xbox live cost $50/year to give you better online service, and yet, EA can still cut off online servers after one year???
I cannot afford to buy 20 games ever years, so it just make sense to still play some...

The guy walk into the store, cancel a preorder and say he will come back in a few hour to buy a 360... Sure. Make sense. If you cannot buy it on the spot, why not just wait the few hour, walk in the store, cancel the preoder and buy the new console then. Just one trip! If it's true, your customer was so stupid, please don't sell him the 360, he won't know how to plug it for sure!!!! Two trips for absolutely nothing. Let me guess, from your story, could we deduct that stupid people buy 3...

C'mon, you have to watch a long video of an artist to finally hear him say "the village he is showing is so “DETAILED” no other platform could handle it, yes not even the PS3 or the Wii."
The game is a cartoon!!! There's no fight animation. If you talk to someone, you get a buble with a pictogram, and there's at one point you see a whooping 4 people on screen. 3 of them are standing still!

Sorry, but large world or not, this can easily be done on a Wii, but wo...

Somehow, you need some extra coding in the game software to be able to link 4 consoles together and show a different view point in each consoles.

It's really easy coding though, so maybe it could be added to Halo, but somehow, I do think it's way more usefull in racing games.

What's interesting, is the fact that some of that code seem to already be in some actual racing game (Forza 2!). I would go for only two screens, buying a very cheap one for my rearview. ...

We use the exact same hardware as in U.S. We have no special tax on electronic apppliance crossing the border. It's not transport, yet hardware is way more expensive.... Even better, a downloadable game, which is $2.99 in the U.S. is $3.99 in Canada. Same game, no transport, no box, nothing. Current exchange rate between both country is about nothing right now, so it's simply 25% more. Very hard to explain isn't it???

I'm sorry, but this is a big no for me. They have shut down their online servers for most 2006 games. I'm not paying games so one year later I can't play online anymore. They will do anything to sell the 2009 version. I don't trust them anymore.

So there's no way I'll buy this game or any games from EA for quite a while.

Just the money spent in advertisement for this game alone would have been enough to pay for the design of another game so it's definitively the 360 flagship. On the other side, if it's that good, I do think they would not have needed some much advertisement, and gamers would have took an extra game for free instead : )

I guess we now know where the 550 millions dollars Microsoft is collecting each year for the live service is going. Still so many weeks before release, and ...

It's the greatest idea of all time. I think people take games for granted. They just want more and more and more, but seeing all the work behind it make you think more about all the works artists and programmers have put into their games. Very awesome. I love also the recent Heavenly Sword video with the polygons and texture showing.

It's also nice to see that there's so much details into a room, but sometime so much of it is hidden in the dark.

For making suc...

Microsoft has nothing to care about hddvd. They just want digital distribution because Bill Gates has millions of shares in cable company, internet provider and backbone. So basically, it's only up to Universal. What the heck to they see in hddvd?????

Come to the blu side Universal, come to the blu side, I'm your father : )

C'mon, it's not the greatest news, but it is sadly worthy... There's nothing wrong being a fan for sure, but being brainwashed is really scary!
I've learn a lot, by reading posts between 360, Wii, PS3 fans bashing each other. But sadly, there's a small bunch of kids who are in it just for stirring things up. They just cut and paste the same junk over and over. Until now, I sometime thought they didn't even bought a console at all!
But today, seeing a 13 years old doing this, c...

That's likely why some people do not agree with you. They likely think you're a xbox owner who doesn't even have the hddvd addon! Once you've watch a HD movie, there's no coming back to simple dvd, even if upscaling does improve them a bit, there's no miracle...

Wow, could you imagine otherwise? The PS3 and the Wii came out in the last month of 2006. Sales wise, it would have look terrible if those two consoles would have sold more than the 360 in twelve months!!!!

For the first half year (2007), the Wii is already killing the 360 even if you claim it has the best line up. And the PS3 is starting to sell no so badly either...

So if I were you, I would worry about 2008 : )

I love the polygons to real version effect. But I'm also amaze to see there's not that many of those polygons for such an awesome game! All the next-gen buzz is about being able to display hundred of thousands polygons, yet, what we see, is far from that, and yet the result is mind blowing... Am I missing something?

But since EA has decided that they are pulling the plug on online servers for most of their 2006 games (one year old!), there's absolutely no way I'm buying any of their games. For the price we are paying today, I expect to be able to play online more than one year. It's even worst for xbox owners, because they do pay $50/year to get better online support, and yet they loose online play as well.
EA is in for the money, but I'm in it for the fun, and not being able to play online after...
